We are looking for an astute procurement officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and high-quality. The procurement officer's responsibilities include reviewing private and government tenders, maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and maintaining accurate records.

You should be analytical and keep up with product and service trends. Ultimately, a top procurement officer should be able to negotiate well and ensure that all purchases comply with company standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- **Sourcing and Supplier Management**: Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure quality and reliability.
- **Purchasing**: Processing purchase orders, ensuring that materials and services are acquired at the best possible prices, and maintaining accurate records of transactions.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitoring inventory levels to ensure adequate stock without over-purchasing, and coordinating with inventory management systems.
- **Budget Management**: Developing and managing procurement budgets, analyzing spending patterns, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- **Compliance and Policy Development**: Ensuring procurement activities comply with organizational policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
- **Market Research and Analysis**: Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.
- **Collaboration**: Working closely with other departments (like finance, operations, and logistics) to align procurement strategies with overall organizational goals.
- **Contract Management**: Drafting, reviewing, and managing tenders to ensure terms are met and addressing any disputes.
- **Performance Evaluation**: Monitoring supplier performance and conducting regular reviews to assess quality, delivery, and service levels.
- **Reporting**: Preparing and presenting reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance to senior management.

Pay: QAR2,100.00 - QAR2,500.00 per month
