About the Role
  • We are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Modeling Engineer who can lead our hydraulic modeling efforts, utilizing advanced software tools like InfoWorks WS Pro.
  • As a Hydraulic Modeling Engineer at Duncan & Ross, you will work closely with our engineering teams to develop and maintain accurate models of pressurized pipe networks.
  • Your primary focus will be on analyzing system performance under various scenarios, identifying potential issues, and recommending design changes to optimize system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Model Development: Utilize your expertise in hydraulic modeling to develop and maintain accurate models of pressurized pipe networks using InfoWorks WS Pro.
  • System Performance Analysis: Perform simulations to assess system performance under various scenarios, identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Data Validation and Organization: Gather, organize, and validate data related to pipe networks, including flow rates, pressures, and material specifications.
  • Model Integrity and Accuracy: Ensure accuracy and integrity of model data for effective analysis and reporting.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with engineering teams to implement enhancements and validate their impact on system performance.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings, analyses, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hydraulic modeling, specifically with pressurized pipe networks.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in InfoWorks WS Pro software is essential.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of hydraulic principles and water distribution systems.
  • Bonus Skill: Experience with GIS software and data integration is a plus.
