**Generator Technician**

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel generators and related components, including Perkins, Cummins, Kirloskar, and Mahindra engines.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot engine, alternator, and control panel faults and resolve issues effectively.
- Perform load testing and ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Replace or repair defective components, such as fuel injectors, turbochargers, radiators, starters, and alternators.
- Calibrate and adjust engine parameters as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Coordinate with procurement for spare parts and consumables.
- Provide emergency breakdown support and on-site troubleshooting as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing diesel generator sets.
- In-depth knowledge of Perkins, Cummins, Kirloskar, and Mahindra generator engines.
- Proficiency in engine diagnostics using tools like Diagnostic Scanners, Multimeters, and Load Banks.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Experience in handling generator control panels such as Deep Sea Electronics (DSE), ComAp, and Woodward is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of fuel systems, cooling systems, and lubrication systems in diesel generators.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to generator operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Requirements:

- Willingness to travel to client sites for servicing and repairs.
- Physical fitness to handle mechanical work and lift moderate weights.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency breakdowns.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred but not mandatory).
