**OVERVIEW**

A chartered accountant is expected to work efficiently, without sacrificing accuracy, with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. The accountant must have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer, verbal and written communication skills.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Compile, analyze, and report financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports and budgets.
- Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
- Assisting with tax preparation, audits, and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Act as a point of contact between internal departments and accounting, serving as a liaison between accounting and external parties, including clients, suppliers, and lenders.
- Using bookkeeping software and entering information into company files or databases, ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate.
- Ensuring that company bills are paid, and debts are collected.
- Implementing and enforcing financial and inventory controls.
- Able to calculate and handle Tenders with the team
- Able to negotiate facilities with banks
- Staying current on company and local financial regulations and policies.
- Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
- Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
- Handling audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports.
- Process accounts receivable and payable.
- Handle monthly payroll using accounting software.
- Any other related task assigned by management.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- At least 7- 8 years of experience as a chartered accountant of a medium business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or similar field) with professional accreditation as Chartered Accountant.
- CPA and/or MBA is preferable
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management, problem solving, and math skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
- Proficiency with computers and accounting software, strong typing skills.
- High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking.
- Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
- Ethical behaviour when dealing with sensitive financial information.
- Courteous, professional manner, strong customer service skills and attention to detail

Bachelor's (required)

Accounting: 7- 8 years (required)

**License/Certification**:
Chartered Accountant Certification (required)

**Salary**: From QAR10,000.00 per month
