Senior Electrical Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Senior Electrical/Lighting Engineer **to join our team In this role you will get to lead and innovate in developing lighting designs for major infrastructure and building projects, manage stakeholder coordination, ensure project excellence, and mentor technical teams.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects understanding of the requirements for Street lighting, Landscape lighting, Tunnels/ underpass lighting and Indoor and outdoor lighting including performance of lighting calculation, Voltage drop calculations using PWA approved software **.**:

- Extensive experience and proficiency in using Agi32, Dialux Evo, ETAP to perform lighting calculation and Advanced Power system analysis, fault current, load flow analysis for power networks.
- Preparing master plans from Concept stage to Detailed Master Plan stage in terms of Lighting, utility corridor space proofing, defining ROW requirements, coordination with wet utilities, ICT, Telecom, roads, transportation, landscape and building design teams.
- Develop Master plan report, load calculations, tie in point requirements. Full understanding of dry utilities and infrastructure projects from Concept to IFC stage
- Experience in civil 3D, Navisworks environment and BIM software as well as Revit software is also necessary.
- Verifying clash analysis and resolving the clashes in 3D models
- Must have thorough knowledge of Qatar Highway Design Manual (QHDM), National Electrical Code, IEEE, ANSI, IESNA, NFPA and IEC and various local authority standards in the GCC like Kahramaa. Qatar Civil Defense, PWA, SEC, DEWA
- Coordinate and liaise with Utility Agency representatives and Contractor with regard to all

construction approvals and design changes, as necessary.
- Attending meetings with the client and preparing minutes of meeting.
- Shall be responsible for liaising with PWA, MME/PPD, QCDD, for obtaining Design Approvals/ NOCs and all related designs preparations.
- Carrying out Value Engineering for various technical options and preparing Value Engineering reports with recommendations.
- Monitor materials submissions and approvals and review updating of Materials Schedule to
- mitigate any construction delays.
- Preparing Clarifications to Contractor RFIs, Review/approve key technical submittals related to lighting and electrical works.
- Review of design reports prepared by other consultants and preparation of design review reports.
- Preparation of design reports, specifications, tender documents and securing design approvals for different project phases including coordination with client/authorities/sub consultants.

- Additional Experience in the fields electrical design of building services would be an advantage.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- 12 years relevant experience in Electrical Design of Large Infrastructure projects including Street lighting network with minimum 5 years in similar Senior Electrical Engineer position.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Must have the ability to develop strong working relationships with third party client, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
- Must be internationally recognized with engineering licenses such as PE, CPEng, CEng
- Must have thorough knowledge of National Electrical Code, IEEE, ANSI, IESNA, NFPA and IEC and various local authority standards in the GCC like Kahramaa, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, FEWA, SEC, MEDC, Civil Defense, etc.
