The Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering has an opening for teaching assistant in Civil Engineering with emphasis in the area of Geomatics/Engineering Surveying. The applicant must have a minimum Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering with a CGPA above 3.5. Applicants with Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or Highway Engineering will be given higher preference. Proficiency in English language is essential as English is the official teaching language in the College of Engineering. Industrial experience would be advantageous.
- The responsibilities of the position include tutoring, field and lab demonstrations, grading, and supporting the department in various service duties.

**Qualifications**:

- BA degree or higher in a relevant field is necessary.
- Evidence of ability in teaching example able to use a range of delivery techniques to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students and inspire them to learn.
- Understanding of equal opportunity issues as they may affect areas of teaching.
- Engagement in continuous professional development.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to colleagues and different kinds of students.
- Ability to perform to required deadlines and to initiate, plan, organize and deliver programs of work.
