Senior Events

In this role, you will assist in planning and operations of Qatar Airways' events including destination inaugurals, product launches, trade exhibitions and air shows, press conferences and special events to help successfully promote Qatar Airways brand globally.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

- Responsible for assisting in the planning and operations of various events, including destination inaugurals, product launches, trade exhibitions, air shows, press conferences and other special events in line with departmental objectives, QR events' guidelines and standards.
- Provide operational support to the outstations as well as to other departments at head office with planning and operations of events in line with departmental objectives, QR events' guidelines and standards.
- Review and evaluate reports provided by event management companies and other involved services providers related to events' technical feasibility, health, and safety aspects.
- Contribute to the development and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all departmental functions and tasks are carried out with cohesion, uniformity, and in accordance with QR's policies, guidelines, and standards.
- Assist and support the line manager in the preparation of the annual Events and Exhibitions Budget based on confirmed and forecasted events for the upcoming financial year.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding the design, production, supply, and installation of promotional and marketing materials to ensure compliance with QR's brand guidelines and event specifications.
- Compile detailed event plans, function and delivery schedules to achieve accurate planning and resources optimization based of events' requirements, departmental objectives, QR events' guidelines and standards.
- Supervise event operations and monitor service delivery to ensure that all functions are completed in line with the pre-approved event plan, up to the required quality standards and within the allocated budget.
- Ensure optimal utilization of branding opportunities on all QR events to promote and enhance brand's visibility.

Qualifications

**About you**
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent with at least 4 years of job-related experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to perform effectively well under pressure within the environment of time constraints, change in priorities to resolve issues with a high level of competence and professionalism.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication in English with excellent influencing capabilities.
