Business Finance Manager

**About the role**

You will be responsible for managing Qatar Airways management reporting, planning and route profitability reporting function and acting as finance lead across the network to support route planning activities. You will be accountable for maximizing returns on route profitability system by implementing effective route performance management cost information structure in the airline and continuously enhance system capabilities. Provide value added, meaningful, and insightful recommendations in terms of identifying, analyzing and understanding the factors affecting financial performance.

**Key responsibilities**
- Oversee the accuracy and effectiveness of month end management reporting and flight performance results inclusive of both operational and financial variance analysis.
- Play an effective role in finance transformation for areas related to Finance Planning and Analysis, including monthly reporting, forecasting, rolling plans, and route profitability to influence effective business delivery.
- Review and report on material variances against budget with reasons and root causes of the differences, identify trends and explain significant movements between reporting periods to help identify focus areas and drive proactive strategies for revenue improvement, cost control and sustainable profitability.
- Responsible for the complete, timely and effective distribution of route profitability results on a weekly and monthly basis to Executive Management, Commercial, Cargo, Finance and other relevant stakeholders to drive performance measurement and decision-making.
- Interface with Senior Managers across the company on key financial and operational decisions through data analysis and business understanding and tracking performance of initiatives with corresponding measurable indicators

**About you**

**Qualifications, Experience, and Skills**
- Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of job-related experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review variances, understand business cycle and their impact on the profit and loss account
- Excellent presentation skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point and have proficiency with Oracle Financials.
- Experience in business intelligence and data analytics/visualization
- Knowledge of Airline route profitability and Airline economics
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across the organization.
