**Job Description: Façade Cleaning Supervisor (IRATA Level 3)** **Job Title**: Façade Cleaning Supervisor (IRATA Level 3) **Department**: Rope Access / Building Maintenance **Reports To**: Project Manager **Location**: [Specify Location or "Site-Based"] **Employment Type**: Full-Time / Contract **Job Summary**: The **Façade Cleaning Supervisor (IRATA Level 3)** is responsible for overseeing and executing high-rise façade cleaning operations using rope access techniques. This role ensures all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with IRATA regulations, company policies, and industry standards. The supervisor leads a team of rope access technicians, conducts risk assessments, and ensures quality control throughout projects. **Key Responsibilities:1. Operational Supervision**: - Plan, coordinate, and supervise façade cleaning operations using rope access methods (abseiling). - Ensure all work is performed in accordance with IRATA guidelines, OSHA standards, and company safety protocols. - Conduct pre-work inspections, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS). - Assign tasks to IRATA Level 1 & 2 technicians and monitor their performance. **2. Safety & Compliance**: - Act as the site safety supervisor, ensuring all personnel adhere to fall protection and rescue procedures. - Perform equipment checks and ensure all gear meets safety standards. - Lead emergency rescue operations if required. - Report incidents, near misses, and hazards to management. **3. Quality Control**: - Inspect cleaned surfaces to ensure high-quality results. - Recommend and implement improvements in cleaning techniques. - Ensure proper use of cleaning agents and equipment to prevent damage to building facades. **4. Training & Leadership**: - Mentor and train junior rope access technicians (IRATA Level 1 & 2). - Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings before each shift. - Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and professionalism. **5. Client & Stakeholder Management**: - Liaise with clients, site managers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution. - Provide progress reports and address client concerns professionally. **Qualifications & Requirements**: - **VALID IRATA Level 3 Certification (mandatory).**: - Minimum 3 years of experience in rope access façade cleaning supervisory. - Strong knowledge of industrial rope access systems, rigging, and rescue techniques. - Familiarity with cleaning methods (water-fed poles, pressure washing, chemical cleaning, etc.). - Valid first aid certification (preferred). - Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. - Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. **Physical Requirements**: - Ability to work at extreme heights (high-rise buildings). - Physically fit to carry equipment and perform rope access maneuvers. - Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. **Work Environment**: - Primarily on-site at high-rise buildings, construction sites, or industrial facilities. - May involve travel to different project locations.
