**Job Purpose**

Lead the business intelligence function within the Aviation Business Development department by transforming commercial, operational and market data into actionable insights. The role supports airline growth, route development and revenue generation at Hamad International Airport by delivering performance dashboards, business cases, competitive analyses, and data-backed recommendations. The role is commercially focused and enables short to medium/long-term decision-making in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external airline partners.

**Accountabilities**

**Strategic**
- Develop and execute short to medium/long-term business intelligence strategies to support commercial route development and maximize revenue growth opportunities, as measured by the implementation of data-driven recommendations adopted by the Aviation Business Development team.
- Build and maintain integrated data models using route performance, passenger behavior, and revenue information to enable scenario planning and airline performance forecasting, as measured by forecast accuracy and their use in decision-making processes.
- Conduct benchmarking analysis of competing airports on key metrics such as airline capacity, passenger demand, to support competitive positioning of the Airport, as measured by the quality and relevance of insights in quarterly competitive intelligence reports.
- Develop and enhance business intelligence tools and methodologies, including automated dashboards and reporting templates, to improve the efficiency and impact of commercial analytics, as measured by reduced reporting turnaround time and increased usage by commercial stakeholder.

**Operational**
- Collaborate with the Commercial team to deliver customized market and route performance insights to support airline engagement and negotiations, as measured by the number of insights incorporated into business cases and airline presentations.
- Maintain and ensure the quality of data sources, including passenger traffic, route-level performance, and market demand indicators, to provide accurate and timely information for commercial decision-making, as measured by data accuracy rates and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Produce monthly dashboards tracking route performance indicators such as load factor, yield, revenue contribution, and growth trends to monitor and evaluate existing airline partnerships, as measured by the frequency, completeness, and impact of dashboards on performance reviews.
- Prepare detailed business cases using market stimulation forecasts, revenue analytics, and airline-specific trends to support the launch or expansion of airline services, as measured by the number of approved cases and routes successfully implemented.
- Identify underperforming routes or airlines using data analysis to recommend corrective actions or optimization strategies, as measured by improvements in route contribution following implemented changes.
- Conduct competitor and market intelligence studies on airline capacity deployment and schedule strategies to inform proactive commercial responses, as measured by adopting insights in commercial planning sessions.
- Automate recurring reports and dashboards to reduce manual effort and increase data availability for commercial users, as measured by reduction in report generation time and frequency of stakeholder access
- Deliver executive summaries and visualized insights for ad-hoc requests such as impact assessments or strategic reviews to support time-sensitive, high level decisions, as measured by the quality and timeliness of outputs provided to senior leadership.
- Conduct training sessions for internal stakeholders on interpreting key performance indicators and using business intelligence tools to build analytical capability within the commercial team, as measured by participant feedback and increased tool adoption.

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications and Experience**:

- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 9 years of job-related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Aviation Management, or a related field
- Several years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or commercial analytics roles
- Experience working with or supporting airline network planning or aviation-related commercial functions
- Proven track record of utilizing business intelligence systems to drive commercial insights

**Preferred**
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., MSc in Data Analytics, MBA, or equivalent)
