**Senior ITS Engineer**

**Doha, Qatar**

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ITS Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will design and develop ITS infrastructure, traffic signal systems, communication networks, and control centers.

**What You'll Be Doing**:
As a Senior ITS Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing transportation infrastructure by designing advanced traffic signal systems and intelligent transportation systems (ITS). This position involves working on various projects aimed at improving traffic flow, safety, and connectivity. Your responsibilities will include:

- **Traffic Signal Design**:Prepare detailed design plans, including wiring diagrams, pole and cabinet placement, phasing diagrams, and control equipment layouts.
- **Signal Timing Optimization**:Develop and fine-tune signal timing plans to enhance intersection performance, reduce congestion, and improve safety.
- **ITS Design**:Develop design strategies and design ITS solutions, covering a range of equipment such as CCTV, DMS, LCS, LPR, RWIS, WIM, OVDS, OHDS, sensors, and communication infrastructure involving fiber optic (LAN, WAN) and wireless communication technologies.
- **Field Investigations and Analysis**:Conduct site visits to gather data, perform signal warrant studies, and assess current traffic conditions.
- **Design Reviews**:Undertake design reviews of ITS and Traffic Signal designs prepared by third parties.
- **Compliance and Quality Control**:Ensure all designs adhere to local authority design standards and follow international best design practices standards such as MUTCD and AASHTO.
- **Project Documentation**:Prepare design drawings, reports, and specifications, and maintain accurate records of project progress and design changes.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration**:Work closely with government agencies, contractors, utility companies, and other engineering disciplines to coordinate project requirements, manage approvals, and resolve issues.
- **Innovation and Research**:Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in traffic engineering and ITS to propose innovative solutions and improvements.
- **Additional Responsibilities**:Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in traffic signal design, ITS, or a related engineering field.
- MM registration is required.
- Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, including 3D modeling, is required.
- Experience with the development of complete ITS/Traffic Signal Plans, specifications, and estimate packages.
- Good knowledge of traffic management technologies and future mobility trends.
- Knowledge of regulatory and local authority standards.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for writing reports, preparing presentations, and coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and skilled in problem-solving, with a commitment to quality and safety in design.
- Excellent report writing skills, preparation of presentations. Must have excellent written and oral communications skills in English.
