Minimum required Experience & Skills:
To monitor the ongoing design activates especially drawing and detailing drawings as per requirements of consultant and client. Must be experienced in MEP design and detain drawings.

1. Supervises the preparation of technical drawings based on rough sketches, specification and calculations from engineers, surveyors and architects and MEP engineers.
2. To critically review the relevant documents prior to start of construction e.g IFC, Project Specification etc
3. Checks and corrects work prepared by others in order to conform to standards, specifications, and design requirements
4. Prepare finished drawings for construction work from sketches, specifications, and field notes
5. Prepares MEP calculations for HVAC drawings, plumbing, piping and small substation and electrical works.
6. Design change requirements, including but not limited to piping, plumbing, fire fighting design
7. Identify any deviation in the design and provide justification for the deviation.
8. Experience in MEP design detailing.
9. Report to design manger as well as MEP manager for smooth coordination for design work
10. Experienced in local Qatar Procedures
11. be able to prepare quick, simple and accurate hand calculations to check the designing of others.

Qualifications:
1. Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Diploma in Design Engineering
2. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook, and Auto Cad is required. Knowledge of popular design software is desirable (Such as SAP)
3. 6 years chief draftsman as lead experience, design and shop drawings experience. Middle East experience is a plus
