**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title: Hostess**

**Chocomelt Restaurant is looking for a Hostess with the following specifications**:
**Function**:
As a Hostess, you present a positive first impression of the restaurants friendliness, excellent service and high standards to all our guests. It is imperative that as a hostess you need to be presentable, elegant and professional

**Primary Duties & responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to their seats; present menu
- Inform guest of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
- Tend to special guest needs and requests
- Observant to guests' needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service
- Maintain guest relations by ensuring guests are comfortable all the way through to the farewell stage
- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
- Manage the flow of Guests, provide accurate wait times to waiting list guest
- Assist service staff by setting, clearing tables and manage seating
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain a clean and orderly reception area and manages stationary and menus

Any other tasks as assigned by the manager

**Skills**:

- Ability to take and follow instructions both written and verbal
- Basic assessment and math skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Polished and presentable
- Excellent Customer Service and People Skills
- Professional with High Energy

Eye for details, Thoroughness and able to Multitask

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum high school education required; higher degree preferable
- Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not necessary
- Read, write, and speak English fluently
- Strong computer knowledge, well versed in windows, internet explorer and word
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation systems and MICROS would be an advantage
