**Lead Hydraulic Design Engineer**

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Lead Hydraulic Design Engineer**to join our team In this role, you will get to lead and innovate in hydraulic engineering design, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive excellence in water sector project delivery.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Provide high-level hands-on detailed technical review, auditing, and signoff of all aspects of hydraulic design for projects, including existing main sewerage, collection, drainage, and outfall systems and rehabilitation.
- Lead the technical project delivery role for hydraulics engineering, specializing primarily in hydraulic design, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) - specifically for sewerage systems, collection systems, pipeline/tunnel systems, marine outfalls, and flood attenuation impoundments.
- Conduct hydraulic optioneering assessments, present findings clearly and succinctly as an experienced presenter, and deliver best-in-class gravity (and pumped) system network hydraulic design recommendations and system optimization and Regional Technical Committee (RTC) recommendations that provide optimum and most cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of hydraulic designs with overall project requirements.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Degree in Civil Engineering qualified with relevant professional status (CEng/PE).
- A minimum of 20 years of demonstrable experience in hydraulic design and related engineering disciplines, with a strong focus on the water sector.
- Extensive experience in leading technical roles in projects specifically related to hydraulics engineering, including sewerage systems, drainage systems, and flood mitigation projects.
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulic design principles and methodologies, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) as applied to sewerage and drainage systems.
- Proficiency in the design and analysis of pipeline systems, tunnel systems, marine outfalls, and pumping stations.
- Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., Infoworks, HEC-RAS, SWMM, MIKE, etc.) and simulation tools that facilitate the design and optimization of water systems.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements governing water systems and hydraulic engineering.
- Ability to lead in hydraulic optioneering assessments and deliver best in class hydraulic design recommendations, system optimization and real time control (RTC) recommendations.
- Proven ability to manage project deliverables from conception through implementation, ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and quality standards.
- Competence in performing high-level technical reviews and audits of hydraulic designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical information in an accessible manner to diverse audiences, including clients and stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
- Must be registered with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) in Qatar.
