**Primary purpose of job**
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the strategic on-going planning, design, and enhancement of

QATARENERGY’s server deployments in the data center for Windows server environment. The focus will be on providing
robust, highly available, responsive, secure, and scalable server environment while minimizing Total Cost of Ownership

(TCO) and maximizing Return on Investment (ROI) by deploying state of the art technologies, best practices, policies,

processes, and procedures. Responsible for configuring and managing Windows Server on-premises, hybrid, and

infrastructure as a service (IaaS) platform workload as a Windows Server administrator.

**Experience & Skills**
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in related field, including at least 5 years of technical experience in Microsoft

Windows Servers, VMWare Cloud foundation.
- A strong set of architectural skills and expertise within the infrastructure environment of a data center, including capacity

planning, performance analysis, and the integration of systems management.
- An extensive amount of experience working with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (previously known as SCCM).
- The ability to troubleshoot issues involving Active Directory Infrastructure, Group Policies, and Windows Server

technologies.
- Exceptionally proficient in operations for automation using PowerShell and Python scripting.
- Management of Windows Servers and workloads in hybrid and on-premises infrastructures, as well as high availability,

disaster recovery, and the migration of resources and workloads.
- Monitor, Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, manage virtual machines and containers.
- A desirable understanding of the security practices that are utilized in the industry concerning file systems, identity

management, server hardening, and vulnerabilities.
- Familiar with Project Management and Change Management processes
- Experience with the diverse services offered by Office 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online,

OneDrive, and Microsoft Defender and more.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing services, understanding of the functions in databases, servers, networking, and

software in environments such as Azure & Google.
- **Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or in a related Engineering field or Management in Information Systems.
- Relevant Industry leading Certifications from Microsoft such as Configuring Windows Server Advanced Services,
