**Key Responsibilities**:
Review project specifications, standards, and client requirements related to painting/coating.

Check and verify surface cleanliness, surface profile, coating thickness (DFT), adhesion, curing, and finish quality.

Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and daily logs.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors to resolve painting/coating issues.

Ensure proper storage, handling, and mixing of paint materials on-site.

Witness and verify holiday (pinhole) testing, adhesion testing, and other coating QA/QC checks.

Ensure compliance with relevant standards (NACE, SSPC, ISO, ASTM) and project-specific requirements.

Support safety initiatives and ensure that painting activities are conducted safely and in line with environmental guidelines.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field (preferred but not always mandatory).
- Valid Painting Inspector certification (e.g., BGAS-CSWIP, NACE Level 1 or 2, SSPC).
- 3-5+ years of experience in painting/coating inspection, preferably on industrial or oil & gas projects.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment (e.g., DFT gauges, hygrometers, surface profile comparators).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and project documentation.
- Good reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and compliance.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and inspection reporting systems.
