**Fire Fighting/Fire Alarm Technician**

**Experience Required**:

- **Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience** in the **installation of fire fighting systems** (including fire pumps, FM 200 systems, and kitchen hood systems), as well as **fire alarm systems** (panels, wiring, detectors).
- Strong problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot fire protection systems.
- Experience in working with relevant codes and standards, including NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards, and local fire safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and fire safety manuals.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Installation and Maintenance**:

- Install, maintain, and repair **fire suppression systems**, including **fire pumps**, **FM 200 systems**, **kitchen hood fire suppression systems**, and **fire alarm systems** (including panels, detectors, and notification devices).
- Perform system upgrades, component replacements, and adjustments as needed to ensure peak performance.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and servicing of fire fighting and fire alarm equipment to ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer recommendations.

**Problem Diagnosis and Troubleshooting**:

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with **fire fighting systems** (fire pumps, FM 200, kitchen hoods) and **fire alarm systems** (wiring issues, sensor faults, alarm malfunctions).
- Implement necessary repairs or component replacements to restore system integrity and functionality.

**Inspection and Testing**:

- Perform thorough inspections and operational tests on **fire fighting and fire alarm systems** to ensure proper functionality, and adherence to safety regulations, local codes, and insurance requirements.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend necessary improvements or corrections.

**Record Keeping and Compliance**:

- Adhere to preventive maintenance plans and keep accurate records of inspections, tests, repairs, and installations performed.
- Ensure compliance with all **local, state, and federal** fire safety regulations, and maintain records as required by law.

**Safety and Professionalism**:

- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional atmosphere in all working areas, following **company safety protocols** and standard operating procedures.
- Safeguard all government and contractor-provided property, including tools, equipment, and facilities.

**Time Reporting**:

- Ensure precise execution of **company time reporting procedures**, including accurate timesheets, task tracking, and reporting of hours worked.

**Additional Duties**:

- Perform other duties as assigned based on contractual, functional, and mission requirements.
