Hygiene Duty Supervisor

To be successful in this role you will be responsible to manage hygiene department with an efficient team of cleaning staff and provide a high standard of cleaning service

**To achieve success in this role you will need to**:

- To provide a clean, safe and hygienic environment at all times
- To allocate cleaning tasks and responsibilities to team members to enable all cleaning to be carried out in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of clean and sanitized equipment for kitchen operation.
- Organize regular supply of approved products and equipment to the Department
- Responsible for identifying and imparting training and developments within department.
- Ensure effective pest control is carried out in coordination with the outsourced pest control contract staff.
- Responsible for proper documentation & record of cleaning materials stocks and monthly inventory.
- Coordinating with Maintenance, Production and Operations on daily activities.
- Maintain all necessary documentation & record of cleaning materials stocks and place periodical orders after necessary approval from Line Manager.
- Adhere to provided Hygiene & Safety guidelines and instructions.
- Ensure regular periodical maintenance of cleaning equipment is carried out by staff and that identified faults are rectified in coordination with maintenance.
- Induct staff with appropriate training in the operation of sensitive & specialized cleaning machinery such as polishers, vacuum cleaners, Floor scrubbers etc., and in safe systems of work.
- Ensure staff awareness of any relevant risk assessments, material safety data sheets (MSDS) and or training required in advance of undertaking any cleaning task.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
- Coordinate effectively with purchase for smooth supply of chemicals and budgeted equipment

Qualifications

**Job Specific Skills**:
**Essential**
- Capable in problem solving
- Insert practical and technical knowledge needed including management skills
- Good spoken & written English
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Knowledge & handling of cleaning chemicals, sensitive and sophisticated production equipment machineries and cleaning tools.

**Preferred**
- Knowledge of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards
- Trained in Fire safety & First Aid
