A leading construction and engineering company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities and ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial information. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budget reports, and other financial documents
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify variances and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Review and approve journal entries, bank reconciliations, and other financial transactions
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
- Manage the company's cash flow and provide accurate cash flow forecasts
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards and ensure compliance
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior-level accounting role
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
