**Job Overview**:
The Electric Vehicle Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric vehicles (EVs) to ensure they perform optimally. This includes working on high-voltage systems, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and software issues, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of EVs.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Diagnose and Repair EVs**:

- Perform diagnostics on EV systems, including battery management systems, electric motors, power inverters, and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues in EVs.
- Use specialized tools and software to conduct accurate diagnostics.

**Routine Maintenance**:

- Perform scheduled maintenance on electric vehicles, including software updates, battery conditioning, and other essential services.
- Inspect EV systems and components for potential issues, such as wear and tear or software glitches.

**High Voltage Systems**:

- Safely handle and repair high-voltage systems within EVs, including proper shutdown and isolation techniques to avoid risks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards for working with high-voltage systems.

**Software Updates and Calibrations**:

- Conduct necessary software updates on EV systems, including firmware updates, calibration of sensors, and vehicle system resets.
- Diagnose and resolve software-related issues using specialized tools.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols related to EVs, especially when dealing with high-voltage components.
- Ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities comply with company policies, manufacturer standards, and local regulations.

**Customer Interaction**:

- Explain the nature of the repairs or services performed to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
- Provide recommendations for preventive maintenance and system care.

**Continuous Learning**:

- Stay updated with new technologies, techniques, and equipment related to EV maintenance and repair.
- Attend manufacturer training sessions and certification programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
**Education**:

- Diploma or associate degree in automotive technology, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- EV-specific certifications (preferred).

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, with specific experience in electric vehicles (preferred).
- Experience working with high-voltage systems (preferred).

**Technical Skills**:

- Strong understanding of electric vehicle systems, including batteries, motors, inverters, and software.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for EVs.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and technical manuals

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

**Other**:

- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to undergo ongoing training and certification in electric vehicle repair.

**Work Environment**:

- The role requires working in a service workshop environment, handling EVs, tools, and equipment.
- The technician must adhere to strict safety guidelines when dealing with high-voltage systems.
- Physical effort may be required, including lifting heavy components, bending, or standing for extended periods.

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR3,000.00 per month
