**Contract Support Engineer** to join our team in Doha, Qatar.

**Job Overview**:
The Contract Support Engineer will have the responsibility for the technical aspects of crane maintenance.
- To oversee the daily operation of the Cranes & Lifting Contracts Department to ensure that service is provided to the client that meets safety, quality, financial and customer satisfaction targets.
- Provide Leadership to Contract Support Engineers on technical, resourcing, and contractual matters.

**Main Responsibilities and Activities**:

- Prepare technical support documents, procedures, work packs, and work instructions.
- Daily supervision of Contracts department from a technical, contractual and resourcing viewpoint
- Support execution of crane maintenance activities
- Support in defining onshore refurbishing service scope of work.
- Liaise with OEMs for crane repairs, modifications, or any technical-related issues.
- Spare parts support related to work orders, backloads, safety stock, and maintenance plans.
- Provide daily technical support including troubleshooting during breakdowns.
- Provide technical support to offshore teams in minimizing backlogs.
- Assist the procurement team with material-related queries.
- Technical advice for all crane-related incidents during root cause analysis and investigations.
- Ensuring that Safety is priority in completion of all Contracts department responsible areas.
- Must have 5+ years of experience working in a similar role focused on mechanical and Crane technical support.
- Must have 3+ years working in the offshore Oil & Gas industry.
- Must be from a mechanical/hydraulic background knowledge of open and close looped systems.
- Must have very strong computer skills, working knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Project Management skills understanding of Risk, Change, Variations and Planning.
- Must be able to communicate well in English (verbally and written).

**Preferred**:

- Engineering degree is preferable.
- A minimum of HNC/HND certificate/diploma is required.
- Ability to provide technical trouble shoot support.
- Order spares and equipment from parts manuals.
- Ability to coordinate a wide range of activities.
