**Job Title**: EV Technician (Electric Vehicle Technician)

**Department**: Workshop / Service Center
**Reports To**: Workshop Supervisor / Service Manager

**Job Purpose**:
To perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electric vehicles (EVs) by using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. The EV Technician ensures all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with manufacturer and workshop standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose, service, and repair **high-voltage electric vehicles**.
- Work with **commercial EV charging stations**.
- Maintain and troubleshoot components such as:

- **Lithium-ion batteries**:

- **Battery Management Systems (BMS)**:

- **E-Machines**:

- **Inverters**:

- **DC vehicle charging systems**:

- Use both **computer diagnostics** and **manual tools**.
- Perform **preventative maintenance** and **workshop testing** on drive systems and communication/embedded systems.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum **2 years of technical experience** on **fully electric vehicles**.
- Experience working with **hazardous voltage systems**.
- Certified (via dealer training, independent courses, or recognized bodies).
- Must hold an **IVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance** or **equivalent**.
