**Project Manager/Architect - Doha, Qatar**

40K-50K QAR p/m (up to c. £130K per annum tax free) + Benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager/Architect for a Client-side role on a development of a University site in the ever beautiful Doha, Qatar.

**Responsibilities**
- The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the appointed Multidisciplinary Design Consultancy to redevelop a University Master Plan and bring it up to the detailed design level and to prepare all documentation required for tendering the construction stage works.
- You will be expected to engage with all stakeholders and third parties and provide an oversight and leadership to deliver the vision of the University and is expected to have an Architectural background in Masterplanning and Education Projects and expertise to deliver this planned large-scale Masterplan for the 2040 vision.
- You will also be expected to provide strategic direction to the Multidisciplinary Design Consultancy and Senior Management in the role for the University and give oversight and governance to project delivery and team allocation to deliver successful projects.
- The Project Manager is expected to be able to demonstrate innovation, sustainability, and thoughtful design guidance and initiation and to ensure that the objectives of a project are thoroughly considered, tested, and pragmatic solutions are adopted and is willing to challenge and test alternative considerations in the process of any task.
- The Project Manager is expected to have over 20 years of experience and acted in Senior Positions within Companies and has worked in the Higher Education / University sector, with expertise in Architectural Design and Masterplanning across both the public and private sectors.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or equivalent from an accredited university and must be a member of Professional Institution or similar.
- Minimum Total of twenty (20) years post-graduate experience; and acted in Senior Positions within Companies and has worked in the Higher Education / University sector, with expertise in Architectural Design and Masterplanning across both the public and private sectors.
- Possess appropriate technical background and ability to control the consultant’s and sub-consultants’ conformance with the contract documents including drawings, specifications, etc. This includes a working knowledge of local and international specifications that may relate to the work.
- Be responsible for the contractor's conformance to the University’s requirements of time, cost and quality in accordance with contract documents and other related government documents and publications.
- Fully conversant with the General Conditions of Contract and QCS.
- Ability to manage budget and provide appropriate advice on contractual and commercial matters.
- Excellent in English (verbal and written) and communication skills.
- Qualified professional who can manage and coordinate specialised activity, discipline or team of moderate size and complexity.

Pay: QAR40,000.00 - QAR50,000.00 per month
