**Key Responsibilities**
- Determine areas of research and study research potentials to increase knowledge in a particular field and to address a problem raised.
- Prepare research proposals, plan and perform experiments and surveys, lead research team, collect, record and analyze data.
- Collaborate with research teams, Ashghal stakeholders and relevant research agencies.
- Deliver a research and development plan for investigation issues related to all PWA projects.
- Conduct a joint research programs with different external agencies to study and investigate any problems related to PWA projects.
- Interpret data analysis results, carryout interpretive analysis and draw conclusions.
- Use research results to write reports, papers and reviews and present findings.
- Maintain Laboratory Quality Management System for all programmes / projects/ departments in alignment to the quality standards.
- Suggest improvements to the policies, processes and procedures for Lab related Quality Control activities based on ISO 17025.
- Participate in the qualification process of laboratories as per ISO 17025 and PWA’s requirements (in-house or outsourced/private).
- Carry out the laboratory activities in accordance with approved Quality policies, procedures and standards.
- Conduct the study and analysis of leading practices on Laboratory policies and procedures and seek applicability to PWA. Conduct a gap assessment to benchmark leading practices and map potential Laboratory policies and procedures to current operations at PWA and affiliated laboratories.
- Supervise Materials testing and certification of materials in the laboratory for bulk materials purchased by PWA central procurement.
- Supervise the PWA inter-laboratory testing program to improve lab testing proficiency.
- Define and develop quality and auditing/evaluation procedures for in-house and out-sourced/ private laboratories.
- Oversee the results of periodic reviews and private lab audits and provide recommendations for their improvement

**Qualification**:

- **MSc in Civil Eng.**

**ISO17025 Internal Auditor Certification**

**Experiences**

**Should have minimum 15 years demonstrable postgraduate experience**
**Minimum 10 years directly related experience**Preferably, have experience in the gulf region.
