**Job Summary**:
To prepare and ensure effective implementation in respect of adherence and HSE and safety policy and procedural requirements. Ensures project's designs on inherent technical safety criteria, HSE principles and aligned with approved Corporate Codes of Practice and Company technical safety engineering standards
**Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to)**:
- Work with the engineering teams under the direction of Lead Engineers preparing and producing HSE engineering deliverables for projects. Will be expected to assume lead engineer in the absence of lead engineer.
- Ensure compliance by all parties with COMPANY's HSE requirements and regulations and all relevant legislation and statutory requirements, including all laws, rules and regulations (as amended from time to time) of the governments.
- Contribute to the design of engineering solutions and produce detailed designs and specifications. Prepare deliverables to meet specific project requirements including:
- Project HSE Plans
- HSE Philosophies
- Fire & Gas System Specification
- Active and Passive Fire Protection
- Fire Fighting Layouts
- Fire and Gas Detection Layouts
- Safety Key Plans
- Hazardous Area Classification Layouts
- Engineering Studies Reports (Gas Dispersion Analysis, Fire and Explosion, etc.)
- Risk Assessment Studies Reports (HZIDS, HAZOPS, SILs, etc.)
- Manage the technical aspects of procurement of equipment and services including preparation of requisitions, vendor data review, scope development and management, problem solving.
- Be able to participate, lead and /or facilitate engineering studies.
- To ensure compliance with company's objectives, requirements, priorities, policies, procedures, standards, rules, regulations and guidelines provided by company from time to time.
- Review and approve the HSE deliverables of the project.
- Develop and execute a personal HSE intervention plan and review the PMT HSE intervention plans. Personal plan to include the activities that support visible HSE leadership such as, safety inspection tours for all areas, identifies potential hazards & recommended solutions, audits, personal interaction and participation in daily toolbox meetings.
- Monitor the construction activities and make sure that these are executed as per the HSE plan and procedures.
- Evaluate designs done by others and prepare reports. Prepare and deliver presentations of engineering designs.
- Check the technical completeness and correctness of work done by other engineers.
- Represent the project team and company for factory inspections, presentations, seminars etc.
- Participate in contractor kick-off meetings.
- Maintain contact with concerned groups for Emergency Preparedness Plans.
- Participate in incident control duties during major accident emergencies or drills.
- Ensure the implementation of and participate in the execution of the Project Non-Conformance and Incident Investigation.
- Ensure leading and trailing HSE performance measures are developed, compiled, maintained and reported
- Ensure an HSE Audit Process and Plan is developed and implemented
- Facilitate the annual HSE Excellence Assessment
- Contribute to maintaining and enhancing quality management.
**Education & Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science or equivalent (NEBOSH Diploma, Level 6)
- Professional OHS qualification certified by NEBOSH (IGC/NGC).
- Professional OHS Qualification certified by IOSH (Managing Safely and working Safely)
- Professional OHS Qualification certified by OSHA.
- Safety Management qualification certified in ISO45001 as lead auditor.
- At least 12 years of Experience.
**Required Skills**:
- HSE management and technical safety engineering experience.
- Experienced in conducting and managing risk management processes and HSE assessment.
- Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution.
- Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities
- Sound technical knowledge based on both theoretical an practical knowledge.
- Good presentation, communications and organizational skills.
- Be proficient with international Codes and Standards, Industry best Practice and Safety Regulations.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
