**Job description**

An **Air Conditioning (AC) Technician** is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. They ensure that AC units’ function efficiently by troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and making necessary repairs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, inspect, and test HVAC systems, including air conditioners, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in AC units.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning filters, refilling refrigerants, and replacing worn-out parts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Provide cost estimates and recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Work with a variety of AC systems, including split, window, central, and ducted systems.
- Maintain records of maintenance and repair work for future reference.
- Educate clients on AC system usage and preventive maintenance.

**Technical Knowledge** - Understanding of AC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical components.
**Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving** - Ability to diagnose and fix AC system issues efficiently.
**Mechanical & Electrical Skills** - Hands-on experience in working with HVAC tools, wiring, and system components.
**Safety Awareness** - Knowledge of HVAC safety procedures, including handling hazardous materials and using protective equipment.
**Physical Stamina & Dexterity** - Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in tight spaces, and perform manual labor.
**Attention to Detail** - Ensuring precision in repairs and installations to avoid system failures.
