The opportunity

Project: This is a conceptualised villages project in the heart and outskirts of Doha.

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking construction head to join our established and growing team in Qatar.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the programme construction functions to include construction logistics, phasing and construction interfaces, scheduling, safety and quality assurance.
- Liaising with senior project managers and project teams to deliver fully integrated construction management support services with an emphasis on meeting the project’s schedule, budget, and contract administration key performance indicators.
- Assisting client with the contracting process for site supervision consultants.
- Participating in the design progress meetings and supervising the pre-construction phase of early contractor engagement.
- Evaluating the contractor quality, identifying problem issues, and confirming corrective actions have been taken.
- Providing support to the client during the contractor tendering and contracting phase.
- Engaging in any pre-qualification efforts to identify capable contractors.
- Providing constructability and logistics management reviews.
- Checking phasing requirements included in tender documents for proper integration with other contracts.
- Reviewing subcontractor qualifications and making recommendations for approvals.
- Supervising the preparation of initial construction logistics plans and overseeing periodic updates.
- Evaluating construction risks with project managers.
- Tracking material testing subcontractors for proper implementation of quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Working with site supervision consultants and contractors on solving difficult scheduling and phasing issues.
- Evaluating the risk impacts and developing mitigation measures.
- Managing the site supervision contracts to include oversight of consistent performance across all packages.
- Supporting the resource planning and evaluating site supervision performance.
- Conducting analyses of contractor claims and participating in settlement negotiations.
- Reviewing construction progress information for the program monthly progress reports.
- Evaluating the safety reports, identifying problematic trends, and implementing necessary mitigation measures.

About you

You will have a relevant degree qualification and be a member of a professional body. You will have experience in the heading of construction.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have experience delivering projects from start through to completion within a consultancy industry and be poised to expand your own horizons, those of our clients and of our ambitious people alike.
