**Electrical Technician - Long Term Project**

**Work Location: QNCZ, Qatar**

**Educational background**:Diploma in Electrical Engineering

**Professional background**:
3-8 years’ experience as an I&C Technician in an industrial plant (Pref Water/Sewage treatment plant or Oil & Gas) + at least 2 years in a similar role in a WasteWater Treatment Plant.

**Languages: English - Fluent (Speak, Write & Read)**

**Technical skills (including computer skills)**
- **Tools & Spare**: MultiMeter, Clamp Meter, Megger, 4-20mA Source Meter, Output mA Checking
- **Activities**: Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance
- **Knowledge of equipment**: MCC, VFD, Softstrator, Pump and Motor, Breaker, UPS Light Fitting, Power and Control Drawings Study.
- **Troubleshooting skill**: MCC, VFD, Softstrator, Star Delta, DOL connection, Pump Motor and Light Fittings
- **Safety culture**: Electrical LOTO, Work at Height and Confined Space Training

**Behaviour skills**:Positive attitude, Presentation and communication, Problem solving skills, an ability to stick to strict deadlines.
- Assures proper installation, preventive maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and electrical panels to ensure their maximum service life and efficiency as well as their optimal utilization.
- Assists maintenance and operating supervision in troubleshooting problems with critical and less critical machinery.
- Performs corrective maintenance work.
- Investigates and troubleshoots to be able to correct issues, provides support in performing root cause analysis.
- Provides alternatives when equipment failure is impeding plant operation.
- Prepares permit to work documentation and follows the health and safety requirements such as safe isolation procedures (Lock Out/Tag Out).
- Understands drawings, schematics, P&IDs and supplier technical documentation for equipment.
- Report in written (English) regarding the maintenance tasks performed, describing the activity properly and giving relevant data records.
- Supervise the work of electrical subcontractors if instructed to do so by the supervisor.
- Reviews equipment repair to detect required design changes in cases where abnormal/customized maintenance occurs.
- Develops maintenance repair procedures for critical machinery.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: QAR2,000.00 - QAR2,500.00 per month
