**General Responsibilities**:
- Monitors kitchen equipment and reports issues to superiors
- Continually develops culinary knowledge to produce high-quality meals
- Measures, mixes, and prepares meal ingredients, sauces, and seasonings
- Washes, chops, and cuts fruit, meat, and vegetable items
- Plates meal items under the chef de partie’s supervision
- Disposes of spoiled items and adheres to sanitation policies
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by more experienced chefs.
- Help with the plating and presentation of dishes according to established standards.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly adhered to.
- Assist in monitoring food inventory and report shortages to the senior chef.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Accept and complete tasks assigned by senior kitchen staff.
- Be punctual and maintain good attendance.
**Specific Duties**:
- **Food Preparation**: Assist in preparing ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, and making sauces.
- **Cooking**: Help with cooking and assembling dishes as instructed by senior chefs.
- **Plating**: Assist in plating dishes with attention to presentation and portioning.
- **Cleaning**: Participate in daily cleaning routines, including washing dishes and sanitizing work areas.
- **Inventory**: Keep track of ingredient inventory and notify senior chefs of any shortages.
- **Learning**: Be open to learning and improving cooking skills through training and mentorship.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Cashier knowledge is a plus
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Compensation Package will be discuss during the interview.
Pay: QAR1,800.00 per month
**Experience**:
- Commis Chef: 1 year (preferred)
License/Certification:
- Transferable QID (preferred)
- Available NOC (preferred)
