**Job Summary**:
Structural Design Engineer is concerned with designing and constructing buildings and structures that are safe and capable of withstanding the elements to which they will be exposed, as well as improving the structural integrity of existing buildings.

**Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to)**:

- Prepare concept, preliminary and detailed Structural Designs
- Analyze configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structure.
- Completion of detailed Structural Designs ensuring Structural Designs are completed in accordance with the latest design codes, standards and safety measures
- Calculate the pressures, stresses and strains that each component, such as a beam or lintel, will experience from other parts of the structure due to human use or environmental pressures such as weather or earthquakes.
- To choose appropriate materials, such as concrete, steel, or precast, to meet design requirements
- Ensure that designs are cost-effective by the implementation of value engineering
- Coordinates Structural Design with all other design disciplines, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction.
- Assist the Lead Structural Design Engineer in the completion of structural design and other related design issues for the project/s.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Quality department requirements and Audits.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Business development & tenders management activities when requested.

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Min. 5-7 years of Design experience
- UPDA Certified
- Experience in large scale projects such as towers/high rise buildings, commercial complexes, residential buildings, etc. is an added advantage.
- Knowledge for the design of pre-tension post-tension hollow core slabs is advantage
- Should be able to join on a short notice

**Salary**: QAR5.00 - QAR6.00 per month
