The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and oversight of the project schedule, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. This role requires a deep understanding of project management principles, with a focus on developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans. The Senior Planning Engineer leads the planning team, coordinates with other departments, and identifies potential risks or delays, providing mitigation solutions. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are delivered successfully, with a strong focus on cost and schedule control.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Lead the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules, ensuring accurate and timely execution of project milestones, activities, and deliverables.
- Provide strategic input the planning process, aligning project schedules with the overall business objectives and resources availability.
- Oversee the monitoring of project progress, identifying schedule deviations and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Lead the resource planning and allocation process, ensuring that adequate resources (manpower, materials, and equipment) are available when needed.
- Develop and manage project cost control strategies, ensuring alignment between cost estimates, budgets, and the project schedule.
- Implement risk management processes by identifying potential risks to schedule and cost, developing and executing mitigation plans.
- Prepare and present comprehensive project performance reports, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with various departments such as procurement, engineering, and operations to ensure the availability of resources and that the project progresses as planned.
- Mentor and guide junior planning engineers and team members, providing leadership and technical support in planning, scheduling, and cost control tasks.
- Manage project change orders, assessing their impact on the project schedule, resources, and overall performance.
- Develop and implement strategies for schedule optimization and efficient project execution, addressing any challenges that may arise.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or E & I Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) or Cost Control (e.g., AACE International).
- 20 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or cost control in the oil and gas industry, or a related field.
- Familiarity with industry-specific planning and cost control software (e.g., **Primavera P6**, MS Project etc.).
- Experience working on large-scale Offshore EPC projects in the oil and gas sector.
