To support the Head Chef or Sous Chef as well as other kitchen employees in Turkish food production.
To prepare, cook and serve food delegated as per your responsibility, ensuring that the highest possible quality is maintained and that agreed standards for food preparation and presentation are met at all times under guidance from Head Chef or Sous Chef.
To assist the Head Chef or Sous Chef in the production of different Turkish foods, for example vegetables, meats and fish and ensuring that food is ready for pick up as per prescribed preparation process.
To assist the Head Chef or Sous Chef in ensuring that health and safety standards are upheld in the kitchen.
To prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
To assist the Head Chef or Sous Chef in making requisitions for food, storing all food, ensure stock is controlled and rotated, and accept and store deliveries.
To maintain high standard of personal grooming and personal hygiene and wear clean uniform while on duty, keep work area clean and tidy.
To assist and monitor food stocks and stock movement and prepare the dishes designated for that station.
To carry out daily and weekly procedures, including temperature checks, food labeling / dating and storage.
To have an understanding of menu planning, the implementation of stock controls, the importance of good stock management, and how this enables the kitchen to meet gross profit.
To adhere to company procedures in regards to cleaning schedules and hygiene regulations at all times ensuring that all records are maintained.
To remove any hazards and make safe any defects in the kitchen or its equipment and report any problems to immediate superior and Manager.
To ensure that requirements related to Food Safety (ISO 22000:2018), Quality Management (9001:2015) and HSE (ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018) are implemented and maintained within the department.
Food safety/HSE Policy and objectives, as applicable to the department, to be followed and updated.
All documents/records related to Food Safety & HSE (where applicable) shall be kept up to date.
In addition to above, you to carry out responsibilities assigned by your immediate superiors related to Kitchen operations in accordance with Company’s Policies & Procedures and any applicable state and Qatar Laws.
