About the role

We are currently recruiting for Manager Operations for one of the most dynamic and exciting leisure venues in Doha. West Bay beach, under the management of Discover Qatar, comprises 3 absolute beachfronts fully licensed venues.
- Doha Sands, an exclusive and private beach club for in house guests staying at participating West Bay hotels.
- The Bistro; a fully licensed restaurant, open from 7am until midnight with a capacity of 200, serving light casual meals and also catering for special events, movie and sports event screenings and private groups.
- B12 Beach Club, Qatar’s largest private beach club featuring the largest inflatable in the country, a range of international food and beverage outlets, general admission and VIP sections, a resident DJ and popular weekend brunches.

In this role you are required to provide a coordinated link between the Occupational Health and Safety Reporting programs by assisting the Fire Safety and Health and Safety members in the production of statistics and documentation to a common standard at WBB. To assist with the capture and processing of Data, the handling of Safety Reports, and the incident investigations. Assisting the Fire Safety and Health and Safety members in preparation of briefing material for the Occupational Health and Safety Action Group (OHSAG), the Fire Safety Task Force (FSTF) meeting and the OHS committee meetings.

Other key responsibilities are:

- Assist the OHS Team in managing the maintenance of the safety reporting occurrence database by ensuring the correct categorization of Occurrence Reports (OR) to enable proper analysis of events. (Over 3000 occurrence reports per / annum)
- Details of OR’s are copied to the relevant Department for their investigation and corrective action which will be coordinated and closed accordingly within the QR Group.
- Produce statistical reports as required by the OHSAG, FSTF, OHS Committee meetings.
- Maintain documents control to ensure we meet OHS international standards and internal standards.
- Assist the OHS Team in preparation of OHS Compliance reports by ensuring:

- Documenting OHS Compliance Check findings.
- Maintaining a confidentiality protocol.
- Act as secretary for all OHS team action groups and any other meetings where minutes are required to be taken.
- Maintain diaries of department representatives
- Set up and maintain filing system.
- Act as IT Guidance to the OHS & Fire team.
- Assist the OHS Team in the department with administrative tasks - this will include but not be limited to the following:

- Co-ordinating of Duty Travel requests.
- Maintain Finance / invoice spreadsheets of team spends to meet budget requirements.
- Raise Purchase Orders.
- Raise ITSR’s
- Coordination between various stakeholders pertaining to procurement workflows/ RFQ/ RFI/ PR/ POs’.
- Point of contact in preparation for QR Group projects - assist in the raising requirements like CMC/ Single Source/ Contracts etc.
- Coordination between QRMC and other divisions among QR Group for INJD verification.
- Liaising with other departments for the efficient and smooth function of day-to-day activities.
- Out stations coordination with regards to Fire incidents and Health and Safety Concerns.

**Qualifications**:
About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional with:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2 years’ job-related experience.
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety
- Must possess both functional and generalist expertise, organizational skills and positive flexible leadership style qualities.
- Accounting background preferred
