**Job Objectives**:
This position is crucial to the success of the hotel and is responsible for creating an outstanding first impression of the Plaza Inn Hotel. It is important to provide a positive image from the start by greeting the guest over the phone and providing an overview of the facility as well as a comprehensive description of the room types that will fit their need to increase the hotel revenue.

**Accountabilities**:
1. Keeps up to date with knowledge of the phone system. Maintains a high level of guest telephone contact skills while promoting the Hotel and Restaurants through good selling and communication skills.

2. Responsible for handling incoming calls to the reservations department in a professional, efficient and friendly manner. The primary task of this person will be to answer the phone within 3 rings utilizing the appropriate greeting and following the reservations script in handling the guest inquiry.

3. Handles all guests’ special requests in a professional manner.

4. Responsible for taking reservations and accurately inputting them into the computer system.

5. Familiar with the property, amenities, and surrounding areas.

6. Interacts with the Group Coordinator on bookings.

7. Activates manual system in the event of system downtime.

8. Maintains the Reservation files in an up-to-date and accurate manner. Responsible for keeping accurate records of all paper transactions.

9. Responsible for advising the client accordingly regarding bookings and reservations.

10. It will be the responsibility to make sure that clients have access to various services without a hitch.

11. Gathers information about areas of interest in order to target more clients in particular seasons.

12. Coordinates arrangements for clients’ travel programs.

13. Monitors daily figure reports from the competition set.

14. Assists in providing information on how to acquire hotel visas.

16. Generates Sales Leads for potential Corporate Accounts.

17. Ensures new company profiles are created in the system, linked to its proper rate code and market segment, and updated on a regular basis to provide accurate production reports whether Corporate or TA accounts.

18. Works closely with Front Desk in dealing with daily booking queries.

19. Remain updated about company activities and promotions.

Upsells special room types such as suites, suites with special features, preferred views, and Special “exclusive” floors like executive floors and packages that include additional amenities, services, or activities
