**Job Title: Stock Network Data Scientist**

**Accountabilities**:
The Client is starting a project to capture the enterprise data models (conceptual, logical and physical) using reverse engineering, hence we need the service of a resource who has a strong Oil and Gas data modelling experience to work directly with Client's Stock and technical business departments to achieve this project. Below are the expectation and skills required from the service:

- Understand, analysing and translating business requirements into long-term solution data models.
- Evaluating existing data systems and generate Physical data model, logical and conceptual data models
- Should understand Enterprise Data Model
- Understanding and knowledge of Industry based standard data models such as PPDMS, Microsoft Common Data model and OSDU.
- Work with the DIM, Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models.
- Create Conceptual, logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy by using ERWIN, Informatica EDC and Informatica Axon.
- Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata.
- Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models by using Client Data Modelling standards.
- Improve the Client Data Modelling Standards where possible.
- Review Data models for DDP use cases and integrate with enterprise data model
- Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments from existing data models.
- Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts as well on NOSQL based systems.
- Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.
- Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyse data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
- Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers, vendors and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- Review modifications to existing software to improve efficiency and performance.
Creating central data model repository and sharing data models with relevant stakeholders.
- Integrate data model with enterprise data catalogue and business glossary.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
**C&P competencies**:

- Basic or intermediate level in other C&P competencies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or Engineering.
- Experience in engineering or engineering concepts
- Expert knowledge and experience in Stock
- Good knowledge of Valves within oil &Gas
- Expertise in data modelling principles/methods including conceptual, logical & physical Data Models
- Strong experience in building enterprise data model with forward, reverse engineering or mixed approaches for Oil & Gas
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience with physical and relational data modelling tools ERWIN, SQL and/or PL/SQL
- Knowledge and experience of RDBMS platforms (e.g. Azure SQL Database, Azure synapse, SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL), Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Visio /draw.io
