**Senior Safety Engineer**

Parsons is looking for an experienced and talented **Senior Safety Engineer**to join our team In this role, you will lead and manage safety activities for large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. You will play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety and ensuring the successful and safe delivery of projects.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System in compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols, project-specific requirements, and industry best practices.
- Identify potential safety hazards and risks, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project activities.
- Review and approve safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on safety-related matters, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management.
- Deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to enhance safety knowledge and competency among workers and contractors.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, preparing detailed reports for clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to address and resolve safety concerns promptly.
- Ensure emergency response plans are in place and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
- Stay updated on local and international safety regulations and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement of safety processes.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in safety management, with a proven track record in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of safety management systems, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.
- Familiarity with local and international safety standards, including ISO 45001 and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present detailed safety reports.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide safety staff.
- Proficiency in safety management tools and software.

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring**:

- Certification in safety management systems, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects in the Middle East or GCC region.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
