**Senior Engineer （Process）**

**Position Type**: Full-time

**Education**:Bachelor’s degree in chemical/ mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.

**Experience**:
Over 8 years of experience in process and mechanical design of desalination plant and WWTP.

**Description of Responsibility**
- Responsible for the Process engineering of the Desalination, WWTP, CCPP Project and in particular for the optimization of the technical solutions implemented.
- Provides expertise and technical support to the Project as necessary.
- Contributes to achievement of the overall Projects objectives, together with project manager and purchasing manager.
- Responsible to develop and monitor the Engineering schedule & budget in coordination with other project stakeholders with pro-activity in implementing recovery measures.
- Responsible as a key contact point throughout the project to ensure that engineering deliverables are meeting the client's requirements, Purchase order clearance in line with technical evaluation reports, and scope management with suppliers, design Institute/subcontractors and Owner/Developer.
- Review of Tender documents to understand the scope of work, client specifications etc. and prepare technical offers, technical clarifications and list of deviations when required.
- Responsible for review & preparation of proposal, basic and detail engineering for projects involving large size desalination, WWTP& Power plants.
- Develop technically accurate and optimized proposal through client specification review, preparation/ review of P&ID, equipment sizing, system layout, etc to win new projects.
- Create client specific process design for new projects including pre and post treatment requirements, membrane selection, flux selection cleaning protocols, equipment sizing, and operation and maintenance cost calculations.
- Contributes to achievement of the overall Projects objectives, together with Lead engineer and Deputy lead engineer.
- Ensures that the Engineering documentation is properly managed.
- Prepare Vendor Evaluation Report and Technical Bid Evaluation Report.
- Co-ordinate with Owner / Owner’s Engineers / Vendors for timely approval of design documents.
- Provide site support to resolve issues for timely completion of project within budgeted cost.

**Relevant Experience**:

- Experience on Developing of Sizing calculations of various process units of Pretreatment unit, Secondary treatment requirements of Desalination plants.
- Extensive experience in working on wastewater treatment projects including Domestic Sewage & Industrial Effluent preferably Basic/Detailed Design & engineering management activities and related deliverables.
- Knowledge of various treatment technologies, equipment and processes applicable in the chemical, biological and physical treatment processes like as Grit separation, Primary settlers, Clarifiers, ASP, SBR, MBBR, MBR, Wet air oxidations, Anaerobic digestion, biological filters, Biogas and sludge dewatering for wastewater.
- Experience on the RO/UF membrane selection tools of various OEM's. Operation and maintenance cost calculation.
- Understand of the water chemistry for the selection of chemical dosing requirements of various process units of Treatment plant.
- Experience on various techniques/ guideline of RO reject handling and sludge handling process.
- Experience on Developing P&ID, System description, Control description & guidelines for O&M manuals.
- Experience on Developing the Plan layout arrangement & various process unit arrangement requirements during design stage.
- Experience on selection of material & sizing for Pipes & Fittings, Valves etc.
