Senior Mechanical Engineer

**Job Summary**:
Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible to supervise the mechanical work based on the Designs & QCS code to get final authority approval & to meet customer expectations. Also carry out extreme attention to detail of designs as specified by design engineer to fulfil the clients need within the specified scope and schedules.

**Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to)**:

- Review the design drawing and standard detail drawings, specifications, schematics diagrams, sequence operation
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary project team, architects, consultants, address challenges and ensuring adherence to project requirements.
- Technical review of Design / Shop drawings / Submittals / Calculations of all Mechanical systems, including Fire Fighting, HVAC, Plumbing, Storm water, Fuel, Irrigation system, Kitchen equipment’s etc.
- Identify all project-related technical issues and provide assistance to the technical team in generated drawings by providing all technical comments.
- Design, evaluate installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems to meet requirements.
- Assist drafters in developing the design, Shop drawings, technical proposals using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software.
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are functioning according to standards.
- Resolve technical queries and technical problems.
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Provide feedback to design engineers on design problems and needs for authority approvals concern.
- Oversees installation work to ensure that system and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Perform supervision of work conducted by contractors as per base-line schedule approved and meet client expectations.
- Coordinate with other trades for installation to maintain the schedule for material delivery & engineering work.
- Review material submittals as per QCS, QCDD requirements and project specification and coordinated with other trades in case interfaced.
- Review shop drawing and ensure that as per design approved by authorities and coordinated with other trades.
- Check and prepare site reports, designs and drawings, keen to problem solving, ordering and negotiating the price of materials and ensure site safety.
- Make recommendations and solutions to RFI, give assistance during testing and commissioning, site inspection, organize project schedules based on the target completion date and utilize strong interpersonal skills towards the contractors and clients

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in mechanical engineering.
- Must possess UPDA
- Knowledge in mechanical engineering technologies and best practices.
- Extensive experience with mechanical systems used in construction projects (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.)
- Knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, and regulations
- Proficient in construction project management software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices

**Required Skills**:

- Creative ability to solve problems of design, supervision, testing & commissioning work
- Site experience in basic design requirements, estimation, installation and all site activities related to all mechanical works for construction of large-scale building or other related projects.
- Familiar with all the mechanical engineering methodologies.
- Well versed in interpreting and executing mechanical related drawings.
- Excellent skills in Construction Management, AutoCAD and MS office.
