- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Design Engineer to lead our design department and drive excellence in engineering solutions. As the Head of Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects, while upholding the highest standards of quality and innovation.**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage a team of design engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise.
- Oversee the entire design process, from conceptualization to finalization, ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers, and contractors, to develop comprehensive design solutions that align with client expectations.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to identify potential design constraints and recommend suitable engineering approaches.
- Review and approve design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements, and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of design processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of design-related issues.
- Provide technical support during the tendering phase, including reviewing and assessing design proposals, and participating in technical discussions and negotiations.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the design intent, and collaborate with project teams to implement necessary corrective actions.
- Uphold a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation, knowledge sharing, and professional development within the design team.

**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil, Architect. Master's degree is preferred.
- UPDA certification with Grade A is mandatory.
- Proven track record of at least 15 years of experience in design engineering within a consultant or reputed contracting company.
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Extensive experience in managing and leading design teams, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in relevant design software and tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet project deadlines.
