**Company / Client Overview**

Our client is a key player in Qatar's oil & gas sector, delivering major projects in instrumentation and control systems across high-specification industrial sites. To uphold world-class quality standards, the client is seeking experienced **Instrument and Control Site QC Inspectors** who are fully conversant with industry standards and capable of independently inspecting sophisticated control and automation systems at the Dukhan Field.

**Position Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform comprehensive quality inspections on instrumentation systems and components as per purchase orders, specifications, and approved drawings.
- Inspect and verify control systems including DCS, SCADA, RTU, PLCs, and ESD panels for correct installation and configuration.
- Monitor and inspect loop checks, signal continuity, wiring termination, color coding, grounding, and functional testing of instrumented systems.
- Review inspection reports, FAT/SAT documents, and vendor data related to packaged units and instrumentation panels.
- Ensure instrumentation installations conform to hazardous area standards (intrinsically safe systems) and international codes.
- Coordinate and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for instrumentation packages.
- Interface with engineering and QA/QC departments to ensure quality assurance is maintained throughout the lifecycle of instrument installation.
- Prepare inspection documentation, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and release notes.
- Attend site meetings and inspections with subcontractors and client representatives.
- Maintain safety, reporting, and compliance protocols during inspection activities.

**Minimum Qualifications & Experience**
- **Language**: Must be fluent in English - able to read, write, and speak.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of **10 years of inspection experience** in manufacturing plants, with at least **2 years** focused on instrumentation and control systems.
- At least **5 years documented experience** in field instrumentation and control systems inspections.
- **Technical Knowledge**:

- Familiarity with international codes and standards including:

- ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ISA TR12, ANSI MC96.1
- IEEE 518, IEEE 1100
- IEC 60529
- NEMA ICS 6, NEMA 250, NEMA VE 1, NEMA VE 2
- NFPA 70 (NEC) and UL 94
- Proficient in inspection of loop checks, wiring, color coding, and continuity testing.
- Knowledge of FAT/SAT procedures and documentation.
- Must be able to evaluate and inspect systems such as DCS, SCADA, RTU, and ESD.
- Ability to read and interpret instrumentation drawings and wiring diagrams.
- **ISO 9001 Compliance**: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementation of ISO 9001 quality systems.
- **Autonomy**: Capable of independently managing inspection tasks with mínimal supervision.

**Preferred Certifications**
- Instrumentation QC Certification or equivalent
- Electrical Hazardous Area Training (ATEX, IECEx preferred)
- Training on DCS/SCADA/RTU/ESD inspection procedures
- Safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH/IOSH)

**Personal Attributes**
- Excellent attention to detail with technical accuracy
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ethical and proactive in identifying and addressing quality issues
- Physically capable of conducting inspections in outdoor/industrial environments

**Work Conditions**
- Based at **Dukhan Field** with possible access to hazardous or confined areas
- **Call-Off Basis**: Inspector will be mobilized as needed based on project scope and schedule
- **Client-provided**: Accommodation, transport, and food
- Must comply with all site safety and PPE requirements
