**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Gives legal advice within the area of specialization and practice
- Expected to maintain and develop client relationships
- Will be the first point of call for client interface on matters handled
- Develop and take initiatives to win business/new clients for the Firm
- Interprets laws, rules and regulations
- Develops existing business and cliental
- Initiates new client relationships and business sources
- Attends business seminars and client events
- Responsible for client interface on matters handled
- Supervises, coordinate activities and mentor junior associates within the department
- Conducts criminal and civil lawsuits, draws up legal documents, advises clients as to legal rights, and practices other phases of law: Gathers evidence in civil, criminal, and other cases to formulate defense or to initiate legal action
- Interviews clients and witnesses, and handles other details in preparation for trail
- Prepares legal briefs, develops strategy, arguments, and testimony in preparation for presentation of case
- Files brief with court clerk and associates
- Represents client in court and before
- Liaises with colleagues from relevant practice areas/department on lawsuits to establish and verify basis for legal proceedings
- Provides advice to corporate clients concerning transactions of business involving internal affairs, stockholders, directors, officers, and corporate relations with general public
- Draft, negotiate and execute contracts
- Provides advice to clients on their legal rights and obligations
