Civil Planner

**Basic Function and Scope**:
Coordinate and plan alongside QATAR ENERGY LNG Planner/scheduler the

Civil maintenance CONTRACT WORKS for normal and major maintenance of

COMPANY facilities. He shall be responsible for coordinating the Maintenance

work execution with the COMPANY and CONTRACTOR's own workforce, including

scheduling of jobs, Pre-Shutdown, Shutdown, Post shutdown activities, work

execution and management of works to minimize the cost of civil maintenance

activities, follow maintenance procedures continuously to ensure maximum

operational efficiency.

**2. Tasks and Duties**:
a. Co-ordinate and execute the notified civil activities. Maintains close

liaison with the COMPANY planner/scheduler to liaise with the Plant

and working conditions.

b. Performs quality assurance/control to a standard established by

COMPANY. Civil maintenance work includes, but is not limited to, Carpentry,

Masonry, Plumbing, Concreting, Excavation, and Paving work, applying

Work Permits, Preparation of Scope of Works, Time sheets, Invoices,

etc.

c. Liaise with COMPANY Inspections and third-party inspections

representatives, if any to access extent of damages and implementation

of their recommendations. Ensure that repair works are carried out through

per COMPANY requirements.

d. Responsible for the support of COMPANY Safety, Environment, and

Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and

Responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in the Management system

documentation, policies, procedures, local documentation, Management

System Manual, Safety Manual, and other related documents.

e. Ensure that Civil maintenance activities meet all quality standards and are

and Procedures and the applicable Permit to Work system.

f. Identify required materials, initiate procurement requirements, to

Obtain all materials and services required to perform Civil maintenance

activities in the most cost-efficient manner.

g. Ensure that all non-conformances are identified and related corrective and

preventive actions are clear, IIF observation and spot checking at the site to

avoid or minimize near misses and incidents, conducting and witnessing

Safety toolbox talks.

h. Carry out other similar or related duties as per the direction from the

COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE.

**3. Work Contacts**:
Liaises frequently at Own level with Asset Operations, maintenance, and

Safety divisions personnel for the general co-ordination of work.

**4. Independence of Operation**:
Must be self-priority

and schedules.

Shall supervise and motivate the team members to achieve the required

COMPANY goals and objectives.

Shall work according to meet and comply with the established COMPANY

Policies, Procedures, and Professional Standards.

**5. Supervisory Responsibility**:
Gives work directions to Supervisory staff and other Workforce.

**6. Physical Effort**:
80% - standing, walking, and climbing while planning / scheduling

Maintenance Contract works.

**7. Work Environment**:
50% - Non-air-conditioned environment, exposure to LNG/Oil Refinery plant

conditions (heat, humidity, noise, fumes and H2s).

**8. Minimum Requirements**:
a. Civil Engineering Degree.

b. 8 years of work experience, including 3 years as a working Civil Planner

in a live Oil/Gas/Petro-Chemical/Industrial plant.

c. Good knowledge of planning-related tools (Software).

d. Good knowledge of written and spoken English.

e. Shall have good skills in organization and planning of work, planning and

scheduling of activities, along with sound knowledge of cost estimation and

cost control.

f. Experience in preparing the Scope of work, JSA, MS, Work Permits, and execution

plans.

g. Good working knowledge of computer systems, planning-related tools

h. Qatari driving license.

i. need to pass all mandatory trainings provided by the COMPANY free of

cost.

j. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

**9. Problem Solving and Job Complexity**:
Solving more complex problems is done within clearly defined maintenance

services and manufacturer-recommended procedures, and in accordance with

established craft standards.

The position requires planning and management skills. Solutions are developed

using initiative from standard procedures and their own acquired knowledge, and

experience.

Helps and supports the COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE in satisfying fully the

requirements of all the internal customers within time/cost constraints.
