- Proven experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware, IBM.
- Strong skills and expertise in multi-operating systems (e.g., Windows, Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and AIX operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with containerization platforms, particularly OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Powershell)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

**1. Job Description**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To be responsible for maintaining and administering Core Infrastructure (server system).
- Deploy, configure, and maintain virtualization infrastructure using platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V.
- Monitor virtualized environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtual machines, hypervisors, and virtual networks.
- Ability to work equally well as an individual contributor or a team member
- Operation and maintenance of Windows Servers
- Work with Application and Engineering team on projects
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat), AIX, and Windows operating systems across the enterprise environment.
- Maintain infrastructure software (GPFS, PowerHA, AIX 6.1, 7.1, and later, VIOS, PowerVM)
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements in accordance with best practices.
- To be responsible for backing up server data, OS, Application and VMs including configuration.
- Should have knowledge on SSL certificate configuration.
- Periodically conduct backup restoration test to ensure that data backups are in good condition and available upon needed especially for disaster recovery.
- Configure backup policies, schedules, and retention as per the organization's requirements.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard virtualized environments, operating systems, and containerized workloads.
- Conduct regular security patching and compliance checks to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage OpenShift container platform, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Maintains up-to-date inventory/records including the Licensing document details.
- Liaises and coordinates with the partner for any issues and/or required enhancement related to and/or server infrastructure.
- The system administrator must keep up to date with new technology and plan and implement system upgrades as needed.
- The system administrator must keep detailed documentation of the system configuration and procedures, including server diagrams, system configurations, and user manuals, among other things.

**2. Other Responsibilities**:

- Ensure availability of the systems by proactively monitoring the status for availability and performance using the available tools.
- Monitor automatic alert and incident logging in tool for availability & performance threshold breaches.
- Ensure all incidents reported.
- Incident logging, classification, tracking & update the status to respective team
- Identify root cause or source of issues and take corrective/preventive actions to
- ensure the closure of incidents
- Configuration/reconfiguration Management, Version upgrade/updates, Secure
- configuration and patch management of the assets including Firmware, OS,
- Software installed on the assets
- Follow change management process
- Risk assessment / Impact analysis of desired changes
- Change documentation
- Submit weekly / monthly / quarterly reports as per Bank’s requirement
