**Primary purpose of job**
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the strategic on-going planning, design, and enhancement of

QATARENERGY’s server deployments in the data center for Intel server environment. The focus will be on providing

robust, highly available & responsive, secure, and scalable server environment while minimizing Total Cost of Ownership

(TCO) and maximizing Return on Investment (ROI) by deploying state of the art technologies, best practices, policies,

processes, and procedures.

**Experience & Skills**:

- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in a directly related field, including at least 5 years of technical experience in

Microsoft Windows Servers in VMWare Cloud foundation environment.
- Strong architectural skills and expertise within the data center infrastructure environment including capacity planning,

performance analysis, and systems management integration.

Configuration management, update management
- Extensive knowledge of industry security practices around file system, server hardening and vulnerabilities.
- Excellent understanding of Failover Clustering, file systems management, Print services management
- Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory and desirable knowledge on Azure Active Directory.
- Troubleshooting skills with Active Directory Infrastructure, File Services, Print Services, Group Policies, networking, and

security.
- Familiar with networking technologies and security protocols.
- Ability to deploy, configure and fine tune Systems and their Operating Systems and related tools.
- Working knowledge of Networker backup software
- Working knowledge of security operations, automation tools using PowerShell, Python, etc.
- Basic knowledge of security and control frameworks, such as ISO27001/2, COBIT, and ITIL, as well as regulations such

as Sarbanes Oxley and PCI-DSS.
- Familiar with Project Management and Change Management processes

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or in a related Engineering field or Management Information Systems.
