**Mechanical Draftsman**

As a Mechanical Draftsman with expertise in weld mapping activities and 3D modeling, you will be responsible for creating precise mechanical drawings and 3D models that support welding processes in various engineering projects. Your role will ensure the accurate representation of weld details, enhancing project quality and compliance with industry standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Weld Mapping**: Develop detailed weld maps that outline weld locations, types, and specifications, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
- **3D Modeling**: Create and modify 3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to visualize mechanical components, assemblies, and weld connections.
- **Drafting and Design**: Produce comprehensive mechanical drawings from 3D models, including assembly drawings, parts lists, and fabrication details, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with engineers, welding inspectors, and fabrication teams to interpret design requirements, ensuring that weld maps and models meet specifications.
- **Quality Assurance**: Review drawings and models for compliance with relevant codes and standards, ensuring high quality and precision in all documentation.
- **Documentation Management**: Maintain organized records of weld maps, 3D models, specifications, and revisions, ensuring easy accessibility for project teams.
- **Technical Support**: Provide recommendations on welding methods, materials, and processes based on 3D modeling insights to enhance design efficiency and quality.
- **Project Coordination**: Participate in project meetings to discuss weld mapping and modeling updates, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines and objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Mechanical Draftsman with a focus on weld mapping activities and 3D modeling in engineering or fabrication settings.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly in 3D modeling tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
- Strong understanding of welding principles, techniques, and relevant industry standards (e.g., AWS, ASME).
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
