Sr. Marine Service Engineer

**What you will do** The Sr. Marine Service Engineer will be reporting directly to the Branch Manager, Marine, Offshore & Navy - Middle East and will be based in Qatar. As part of the Marine, Offshore & Navy team, you will carry out general Repair & Maintenance jobs on Refrigeration & HVAC equipments onboard ships, offshore platforms and Navy vessels. **How you will do it** - You will handle all marine & offshore service-related jobs in Qatar and other regions by solely located in Qatar. - You should provide technical support to both technicians and customers throughout a larger geographic area. - You will focus on the design, commissioning, inspection, and troubleshooting of very complex systems under time constraints and in accordance with defined processes, service agreements, and customer needs. - For technical installation and/or servicing issues the customer's 'on-site' primary contact. At the customer site, you may be seen as Johnson Controls' "face." - You will handle extremely complicated client requests and calls as they are received and will have a capacity to troubleshoot difficult and high-level issues. - You will develop excellent customer relationships along with providing proactive feedback and will document on the status of the customer's equipment and systems, as well as work done. - You shall take on the role of project leader while on-site, mentoring less-experienced members of the service team technically and organize on-site work activities for complex, multi-person tasks. - You shall involve supervising the assigned tasks of subcontractors. - You will lead the diagnosis and repair of system problems, which necessitates specific technical expertise, required certifications, and an understanding of time and material constraints. - You will provide customers and operational management with high-level technical support and guidance. When necessary, seek clarifications and technical assistance from the relevant engineering team, which helps to fix the issues that arise. - You will install, start-up, and commission systems in compliance with established guidelines, procedures, and standards. - You will understand and analyze relevant technical documentation such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, psychometric diagrams, and so on, and provide training, mentoring, coaching, and development to less experienced technicians. - You will communicate with customers upon arrival and before departing the job site. - You will meet or communicate with the customer on a frequent basis to become acquainted with operational issues and to gain a complete grasp of the customer's needs. - You will inform the customer of the type of service rendered, and any unresolved problems, suggests upgrades, replacements, or enhancements to the system, and encourage the sale of change orders and/or further labor and material work (L&M). - You will provide advise and training to customers on system functioning, and concisely document everything that was done and submit the service reports promptly. - You will display willingness to get trained and gain experience & knowledge in Fire & Security products and services. - You will support in the expansion of Fire & security business in Qatar region by involving in the activities for which trainings are provided. **What we look for** - Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical/electrical /marine) - Relevant qualifications in the specific trade of HVAC & Refrigeration - 10-15 years of experience in Marine & Offshore HVACR industry - Subject matter expert knowledge on complex products and advanced systems, including knowledge of 3rd party systems/system integration. - Extensive hands-on experience in overhauling of reciprocating & screw compressors and troubleshooting/installation/commissioning of relay based and PLC based control panels. - Maintains and improves technical proficiency in Johnson Control’s product lines. - Complex product knowledge and advanced system knowledge - Excellent technical and communication skills. - Language skills: oral and written English is necessary and oral Hindi, or any other languages will be an advantage. - Any prior experience and knowledge in Fire detection, Fire suppression, CCTV system is an added advantage - Valid Driving License is preferred
