**Overview**: As a Captain Waiter, you will be a vital part of our restaurant's front-of-house team, responsible for providing exceptional service to our valued guests. Your role is to lead the waitstaff and ensure a seamless dining experience for customers. As a highly skilled and experienced server, you will exemplify professionalism, hospitality, and efficiency, guiding the team to deliver outstanding service and uphold the restaurant's standards.

**Responsibilities**:
Team Leadership and Training:

- Lead and supervise the waitstaff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about menu offerings, daily specials, and service procedures.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate important information and delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Provide ongoing training and mentoring to improve the team's skills and service standards.

Guest Service Excellence:

- Set an example of exceptional customer service, greeting guests warmly, and attending to their needs throughout the dining experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure that guests' dining experiences meet or exceed their expectations.

Dining Room Management:

- Oversee the organization and flow of the dining room, ensuring efficient seating and timely service.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure accurate and prompt delivery of orders.
- Monitor table turnover and guest satisfaction to maximize dining room efficiency.

Upselling and Menu Knowledge:

- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings.
- Encourage and guide the waitstaff in upselling and promoting featured items to enhance the dining experience and revenue.

Health and Safety Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Monitor and enforce proper hygiene and sanitation practices within the restaurant.

Handling Guest Feedback:

- Address guest feedback and complaints professionally and efficiently, resolving issues to the guests' satisfaction.
- Report feedback and suggestions to the management team for continuous improvement.

Team Communication and Coordination:

- Foster effective communication within the team and with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff and management to optimize service flow and guest satisfaction.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Senior Waiter or Captain Waiter in a reputable restaurant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide the waitstaff to provide exceptional service.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings, wine pairings, and fine dining etiquette.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems quickly and diplomatically.
- Flexibility to work during peak business hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
