**About the Role**

An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways HR - Employee Relations and Policies team as Manager Contracts & Compliance. This role will be responsible in advising HR on legal obligations in relation to employee-related matters, policies and procedures and ER related matters. Responsible to review, analyze, draft and negotiate complex employment contracts across QR’s network, in conjunction with user and sponsor departments to protect the interests of Qatar Airways Group. Advise HR on People Governance, Risk and Compliance related matters, initiatives and mitigation strategies in order to protect the best interests of QR Group.

**Your duties would include**:

- Structure the implementation and continued enhancement of global HR compliance programs.
- Develop and implement procedures for managing competition issues in compliance with company policies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior HR leaders and business units on complex contractual and compliance issues.
- Provide guidance on legislation (Qatar Labour Law and international) on company policies and procedures and investigations processes across QR Group.
- Support development of Legal Compliance related framework on regulatory change management activities, including monitoring of new regulations applicable to QR operations.
- Liaise with external legal advisors, regulatory bodies, and auditors as required.
- Partner with ER/HRBP department to provide guidance and expertise on managing complex and significant investigation cases.
- Partner on HR social-audits and industrial relations projects across HR Division including outstations.
- Contribute to audit investigation process within HR to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and ensure compliance with labor laws at head-office as well as outstations.
- Assist teams on disciplinary/grievance processes, ER design, reviews trends and provide recommendations to ensure consistency across QR Group. Represent HR in cross-functional working groups and compliance committees.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, secondment agreements, consultancy arrangements, and other HR-related legal documents.
- Ensure employment contracts are consistent and compliant with local labor laws, internal policies and international standards.
- Provide legal interpretations of terms and conditions of contracts.
- Maintain a centralized contract repository and oversee lifecycle management of HR contracts.
- Facilitate the development of processes and procedures in alignment with QR Compliance Policies.
- Guide and support HR on the implementation of controls meant to address compliance obligations.
- Maintain oversight across HR-related internal audits and provide advice to HR Management.
- Maintain HR related regulatory inventories and an inventory of non-compliance.
- Undertaken appropriate compliance and risk assessments, conduct gap analyses and prepare related reports. Propose current and future policy changes to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and best practice

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience
- HR, legal or compliance related experience
- Experience in dealing with employee grievances, disciplinary matters and claims
- Experience investigating complex employment complaints and advising management on outcomes and recommendations.
- Degree in HR and Labor Relations or Law preferred.
- Prior experience in Aviation Industry would be an advantage
- Strong substantive knowledge of a full range of employment laws, including emerging trends in social media, employee privacy, and employee investigations
- Strong knowledge of Qatar Labor Law
- Knowledge of legal and policy procedures and processes such as employment tribunals, disability, diversity and equal opportunities
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to think strategically and to give practical, firm, actionable advice in the face of ambiguity, uncertainty, emotion, and disagreement
