Systems Development Specialist

As a Systems Development Specalist you are responsible to drive the adoption and robust use of QR Catering Systems across internal and external organisations. To develop and evolve all Catering Services processes and systems to maximize benefits and efficiencies being driven by system integration and through the tracking of systems data. To manage Catering Services system development from user perspective working with IT to deliver the solutions on time and on budge

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for Catering System Performance by ensuring maximum benefits and optimal accessibility, championing the adoption, evolution and adherence to internal processes across the organisation.
- Accountable for automation of cross functional processes that drive continuous improvement across internal and external teams including maintenance, change & update of catering business process documentation, not limited to catering system.
- Represent Catering Services in the corporate development of systems integration with the cabin crew systems and online meal ordering.
- Ensures system access lists are maintained for all Catering Services and for suppliers.
- Accountable for execution of all system changes and subsequent advice of changes into the entire business including documentation.
- Develop internal team to maximize individual potential to improve business and financial benefits of the Catering System.
- Investigates, develops and supports implementation of any technical solutions and processes that will drive continuous improvement across the business.
- Maintain and evolve appropriate internal and external system support models ensuring complete fault tracking and resolution.
- Represent Catering Services interests with ongoing support and development of a Catering System.
- Develop and maintain internal and external training programs for all systems related to Catering including documentation and creation of training material.
- Develop and implement Catering change management system and processes to automate Catering change request by ensuring full functionality and engagement of all stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
In order to be a succesful in this role you should have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent with 5 years of expereince

Essential
- Specialist - minimum 5 years of job-related experience required
- Systems Management
- Project Management
- Change Management
- Systems development and integration Preferred
- Rapid Application Development (RDA) approach experience
- Airline software and specifically airline catering systems development
- Detailed knowledge of other industry platforms - eGatematrix and Sabre’s Airvision solution
- High level of computer literacy
- In-depth knowledge of airline catering
- Good understanding of supply chain and material logistics
- Basic knowledge of systems training
- Fluent in English (certified); Arabic language will be an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project management skills
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members

- Rapid Application Development (RDA) approach experience
- Airline software and specifically airline catering systems development
- Detailed knowledge of other industry platforms - eGatematrix and Sabre’s Airvision solution
