We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing) within Doha, Qatar.

**Qualifications**:

- 8+ years of experience in Oil and Gas domain
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- Registered Engineer with valid Professional Engineering certification body as per the applicable law of Employer country.

**Technical Knowledge / Skills / Competencies**:

- Core Technical skills required on design of HVAC & Plumbing systems for Non-plant and Plant Buildings, should be experienced in coordination with structural, architectural, electrical and any other relevant disciplines is required.
- Familiarity with Static, Rotating and Packaged Equipment will be added advantage
- Incumbent must demonstrate broad experience in Oil, Gas Brownfield and Greenfield facilities, preferably with FEED / EPC/ EPCm contractors. Middle East experience in similar companies is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in past project involvement and technical delivery of small to medium size projects.
- Ability to interpret Client specification related to engineering designs
- Knowledge of applicable local/ international standards, statutory and regulatory specifications.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, ARI, NEMA, SMACNA, API, SHELL DEPs, UPC standards, and Client General Standards, design codes and standards.
- Competent use of relevant engineering specific software, such as Auto-CAD, Microstation is mandatory

**Core Accountabilities / Responsibilities**:

- Develop detailed design calculations for HVAC and Plumbing Equipment, Flow sheets, D&IDs, Prepare engineering data sheets, specifications, Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations, Vendor Communication, Vendor Drawings and Data review, Communication with Client, Preparation of Engineering Drawings, Preparation of Reports, Project Site visit including offshore site if necessary, Participating to the Vendor Shop Inspection and Testing at Vendor shop and Project Site
- Conduct Engineering Studies in consultation with relevant engineering disciplines
- Trouble shooting of design issues with due regard to Safety
- Provide training to Cadet / Junior Engineers and other external members
- Conduct engineering analysis and recommend technical solutions
- Take ownership of Work Metrics, Schedules, Development Review and work towards continuous performance improvement
- Prepare progress report for the assigned work.
- Prepare design changes due to revision of input data, P& ID and revision requirements from other disciplines and proposes solutions where necessary.
- Check and control of design revisions.
- Maintains, Controls and monitors Mechanical Quality Assurance System based on Management quality system.
- Implementation, monitoring and control of ISMS
- Contribute LL (Lessons Learned)
- Deputize Next Level Up during leave of absence
- Identify, resolve engineering issues which are critical for project schedule and cost
- Execution of a significant design task with mínimal supervision
- Review vendor documents, drawings, test procedure, certificates, operating manuals, design books and engineering data books in accordance with the project design specification and suggest recommendation
- Maintain up to date Engineering documents, Project wise to address spot Audit checks
- Assist up line management in development/implementation of objectives, standards, policies
